Dead Heart Kicks Off Debut Tour

My very first anything as a writer. It seems strange when I put it like that, but then it seems strange that people want to talk about me and my book.

My book tour began this week, and I am humbled. I have been waiting for this for so long, and now that it is here, I couldn’t be happier. I am grateful for all the people who have helped me get here, one day I may write a long blog listing them all individually. It takes a good support group to do anything worth doing.

As an incentive, I am giving away one free copy of my book to a winner at every tour stop. I have seen that some writers are offering free kindles and gift cards, but I don’t see how this will get people to buy the book. Since I write from the heart and not the wallet, I cannot afford twenty e-readers. I was wondering what some of the other authors here have done on their tours, especially what did not work. Since I am new to all of this, I don’t want to make any mistakes that may make me sound like I am bragging or something. There are plenty of other authors already doing that and it seems like “Writer Pea-cocking” to me.

My first stop is at K V Loves Books, and there is a link at the bottom of this blog. So far, all I can say is that I hope all my future tour hosts are as great as this one. She has been very helpful on making sure everything is perfect. If all tour hosts are like her, then I think that book reviewers may be almost as busy as a 48fourteen publisher.

This first tour date will always be special to me, and I can’t wait to hear feedback from a wide variety of readers. Also, Christina Thompson’s husband re-tweeted a message, another first for me, and I thank him for helping me get the word out.

So that’s it for now, but as the tour progresses I will keep everyone informed right here.
