Blood, Sweat, and Tears

I have finished the final editing process, and now I am awaiting the release date. And thanks to a papercut, (a manly papercut that required two superglue stitches) I have put my blood, sweat, and tears into this book. I know I haven’t been blogging for the last month, and I am sorry to have deprived our readers of my short and sweet blogs, but I now I am back.

Of course I have many people to thank for helping me create a quality in my writing I would not have been able to do on my own. I will admit that as a writer, editing is where I fall short. I know the basics, but the staff at 48fourteen are all professionals on a level that I cannot fathom. I have read several books on editing, (including editing for dummies), but no matter how hard I try, the truth is, I am just not an editor.

Someone once said to write is to err, but to edit is divine. I believe that. I also believe that the editor is never wrong. My editors were right about everything. I may not have always agreed with what the editor was saying, but I still heeded their advice, and it has always worked out in the end.

With that in mind, Juanita Samborski, Matthew Brennan, and Nancy Lusk, you are the best editors I could have asked for, and I humbly thank you for it.
