She is a member of the Arizona Author's Association and the recipient of the notable Soroptimist Award for her essay writing. She's been published as an anonymous contributor in several publications, but she is most widely known for her true, unpublished, hilarious, adventures documented for the sole purpose of entertaining her friends, who have forwarded them to an exponential number of their friends (some as far away as China).

Denise has two wonderful grown children in their thirties that have miraculously survived what a friend has recently described as "the storm that is Denise". She moved from New York to Phoenix with her life partner in 1993, but she still considers herself a New Yorker. When I'm not writing, reading, glued to my computer or belting one out on my karaoke machine, I indulge in my one and only addiction - puttering. The necessity to call a repair person feels like a personal failure, so there's usually a pile of nuts and bolts formally known as a household appliance on my workbench.
Things you may or may not want to know about me:
I hate to drive. I still have the car I bought in 1998, a Ford ZX2 - with only 60,000 original miles OMG! I just checked. It's actually only 46,000 miles!
I've been in a relationship with my life partner for over 22 years. (She drives).
I'm on a mission to search the internet for every single person I've ever met.
I can Photoshop anything.
Roller coasters make me vomit.
I have one toe that has never touched the ground.
I share a birthday with Howard Stern!
My pet peeve is driving in the passing lane.
I've snorkeled in over 30 cities.
For my last birthday, I wanted a set of flat, round, magnets.
For my next birthday, I want another set.
My favorite TV series of all time was Six Feet Under.
Don't, really, don't lie to me.
